The Marcellus Wade Fund was established as a way to reciprocate its understanding and support to families through a monetary award for education; which was a passion and way of life for Marcellus Wade.  His formal education spanned over four decades as he graduated from Favor High School in Guthrie, OK.  Marcellus could have pursued any career path after his graduation; but his love for teaching and deep compassion for children at an early age led him to choose the Warrior Road. This was a decision seeded deep in his soul and his desire to make a positive impact in the lives of young people and assist in aiding them to a better quality of life.

Whether it was Physical Education, Biology or Science Marcellus Wade would do his very best to help every child that crossed his path. He even had such opportunities to teach children of whom parents he taught. His teaching was not limited to the classroom. Whether he was coaching football or basketball, feeding children, teaching them the Word of God or life skills Marcellus Wade was compassionate about the over all growth of young people.

The Marcellus Wade Fund will assist children with college scholarships for their first year as well as activities for children during the school and summer months. By doing this it will allow us to exemplify the true spirit of Marcellus Wade and his passion for young people. This Fund will allow and assist with opportunities that may not be afforded without it and over the course of time give many of children a chance as he did when he was in our midst.

It is with gratitude that we start this fund to honor a man who have paved the way for so many people thru mentoring, teaching life skills as well as educating. As he unselfishly gave to so many it is important for those whose life he impacted do the same and impact others by supporting the Marcellus Wade Fund.

The Prince of Peace will give each donor a letter of contribution for tax purposes at the end of the year. All of the proceeds will support the cause of the Marcellus Wade Fund and each scholarship winner will be announce on our website.
